AARON
After the Alpha calmed down, I left the packhouse and headed back to the border.
I knew where the Alpha was coming from, especially after what happened with Clair. I was just too fucking excited to have some alone time with Janna that I forgot about her safety and the people who were looking after her.
Jake was just being a brother to Janna. Like I was to Clair.
And this was getting messier.
I was fucking disappointed with Janna's telling me that it was just the heat of the moment. Was she fucking real?
