Chapter Sixty-Seven

"Hayden, it was so nice of you to finally join us. I thought I was going to die before you remembered that we had a meeting." A man who looked a lot older than everyone there complained.

"It is not anyone's fault that you are an old man, Edward. He was not even up to twenty minutes late." A young man who was about Hayden's age said, but when I moved closer, I found out that he was a wolf.

"I know your wolf genes make you young; you don't have to shove it in my face," Edward, the one who spoke earlier, replied.

"Children, settle down and stop bickering. Some of us have somewhere to be after this," the other older men said.

Edward scoffed. "Anyone who hears you will think that you have a young, beautiful woman waiting for you to come back, but then they realize that you are going to another meeting or to go bury yourself in work in your study."

They started to laugh, and the man that Edward talked to gave him the middle finger.
