Chapter Twenty-Six

I hugged myself tightly as we continued flying in the air, and Josh covered me with his body. I closed my eyes, refusing to look; all I heard were gunshots, and then our car collided with an object.

My head hit an iron, and I was almost thrown to the front, but Josh grabbed me and pulled me back, then huffed because it seemed like something hit him. My eyes felt blurry. My eyes started ringing, and my head was pounding.

I closed my eyes and buried my face in my hands to catch my breath, but then I heard gunshots, and then something exploded. I opened my eyes, my heart beating, and looked around.

Finn was pushing the door, then he pushed it off and stepped down. I took a good look at him, and I could see the blood stains on his clothes. I looked at Josh, who was holding me, and I saw blood on his clothes and his head. There were also glass shards on his skin.
