Chapter four

All through breakfast I was not smiling because I found nothing funny but the twins kept giggling and playing with their father. Hayden also kept smiling and all I wanted to do was to choke him. I kept looking around for the way out while pretending to be eating.

"Mommy open" Lily screamed then pulled a spoonful of the rice in my mouth, I shook my head but still ate a bit from it.

"Don't give me baby, just eat" I whispered then she pouted then that Asshole smiled then positioned his mouth.

"Give daddy a bit too," Hayden said to his daughter and she smiled and started feeding him.

"Mom, I thought you said people should not talk while they eat?" Elijah asked.

"I did, Lily and Hayden do not talk while you eat" I scolded them.

"Yea mommy" They both answered and started eating.

I put the remaining food on my plate into my mouth and stood up with the plate but Hayden shook his head.

"The housekeepers will take care of it, leave it there."

But I shook my head, "Don't worry, Where is the kitchen?"

He pointed towards it, "The second door on the left."

I smiled and then headed towards there but on my way, I saw one of the servants that hurriedly grabbed my plate.

"Let me get that for you Mrs Walker" " she said timidly.

"Thank you" I replied and released the plate. Then headed back to the dining.

Hayden was conversing with Elijah when I came back as they both had finished eating, I sat down and pretended to be watching Lily I was listening to what he was telling him and it was about football. Hayden was trying to explain to him the difference between the football here in the human world and at the pack.

"So Daddy how big is the field, will it be like those on the television?"

"Bigger, since we all have more strengths" Hayden answered.

"Wow", Elijah screamed and was about to ask him another question when his phone rang.

"Give me a minute baby, I will be right back", He said then started leaving the room.

"Hayden, where is my phone?" I asked him.

He looked at me then at the children, "In the cupboard, in the room you were in the morning."

I nodded and then concentrated on my daughter who was drinking water.

"Don't do anything stupid?" He said but I did not look back or anything, because I knew that I was getting out of here. When he left, I waited for a few minutes and then went to check if he was done but I did not see him.

"Mom, what is wrong?" Lily asked me.

"Nothing baby, Now come on", I said then took their hands, and led to the them room. Then quickly left their hand to search the cupboard. There was money in one of them, bundles of money, so I took four bundles and then collected my phone.

"Are we leaving Mom?" Lily asked me.

I did not like lying to my children but at times like this, it becomes a must, to protect them.

"No, we are just going out to get something from the ice cream store," I said.

And as expected it worked, their faces lit up, and Elijah clapped his hand.

"Mommy, are we going to get some ice cream too?"

"Only if you do as I tell you and not make noise" I answered.

"We won't Mommy" They both answered.

I led them to the back door where I saw one of the guards enter from when they came to give Hayden some documents, As I was coming out from the bedroom.

"Stay here and don't make noise, don't answer anybody calling your name, I will come and get you in a few minutes, Okay babies?"

"Okay, Mommy" Lily answered.

"We will get it right for the ice cream" Elijah answered too and I chuckled.

I opened the door and saw myself outside the mansion but there were lots of guards outside and the fences were so high and very far from the building, like this building didn't cover a third of the land available. This was a prison or a fortress.

I stepped out to see if there was a way out but then some of the guards turned to me, it was like something alerted them. I inhaled and understood why, Some of them werewolves.

I smiled at them then ran to the flower there and smiled.

"So beautiful," I said but I was rolling my eyes in my mind.

When I looked back, One was on the phone but the others had concentrated back on looking straight ahead. I guess my plan to throw them off worked.

I went a bit closer pretending to be looking at the trees then I counted them, there were fifteen of them, Ten of them were werewolves, the rest were humans, and their scent screamed strength so there was no way I could take them down and escape with the twins.

I put a smile on my face and then decided to see if they would pull me back if I tried to leave, I started to walk towards the gate, I was expecting them to stop me or something but none of them touched me, I was happy and was already thanking the moon goddess till I reached the gate. The damn thing refused to open, it was looked with a password and also facial recognition.

I turned to one of them whose face looked familiar and was a wolf.

"Hi, please I want to go get some medicines for my twins could you open the door while I go get my children?"

He shook his head, "Alpha said not to allow you out."

"Excuse me, I am not an animal to be locked in and how do you know that he did not give me a pass?" I asked him feigning annoyance but he did not answer but instead turned away from me.

"Hey, I am talking to you, If anything happens to my children, Alpha Hayden will kill you" I screamed but he did not act as if he heard me

"Hey, Are you ignoring me?" I asked him and poked at his chest, but still nothing.

"Hello, One of you should open up the damn gate" I screamed but it was like talking to statues.

I rushed to the gate and pushed it, trying to see if I could use my wolf abilities to open up the gate but I couldn't because it was made of pure silver that kept stinging my hand.

"Sh*t" I screamed and kicked a flower up before I headed back inside but I could not find the twins where I told them to stay.

I was about to use their scent to locate them when I heard giggles coming from the living room.

I rushed in there and saw the three of them watching a show on Hayden's phone.

"Hi Mommy," Lily said immediately as she raised her head.

Elijah and Hayden followed suit but Hayden had a big smile on his face.

"Mommy, You did not leave anymore, I thought you were going to grab something" Hayden taunted.

"Yeah Mommy, where is our ice cream?" Elijah questioned.

I moved closer and rubbed my baby's hair, "I will get it later when I go out."

Then I whispered to Hayden, "You will d*e, devil."

He started laughing and when the children raised their faces to see why he was laughing, He distracted them by making a funny face and they started laughing again.

Just then we heard the jet and the children rushed to the window to look at it.

"I can see what you are trying to do, But it won't work."

"What am I doing?" He asked.

"Trying to sway the kids with your wealth but it won't work," I said a bit too loud that the kids turned then I smiled, So they turned back.

"I am not trying to do anything, I am just trying to give them the things you neglected to give them."

"Excuse you, I gave my children everything I could afford."

He smirked, "That's the keyword, afford. Judging from where you live and everything, You look like you could not afford much, Imagine how hyped they were just because of ice cream."

I could not believe that this asshole was trying to bring my hard work to feed my babies down.

"Look, Just be clear, I don't have as much as you do does not mean I did not raise them well, Also nobody gives children much ice cream anyway but you wouldn't know that right, because being born rich and treated like the whole world revolves around made you turn out to be a rude asshole, A murderer and a lot of other bad things."

He turned murderous and for a moment, I thought that he was going to choke me or something but he smiled catching off guard.

"You had no problems with my rudeness when I told you to spread it after telling you not to talk all day. you also loved my assholeness when I gave you money to spend."

I could not believe he would say something like that, "That was when I was stupid, Now I don't want anything to do with you, So shove your money into your ass."

"But that's a lie, You do want something to do with me, Don't you remember the bedroom this morning."

My jaws dropped and I tried to slap him but he held my hand.

"You have already done that once, don't try it again because you won't like the outcome, mate or not I am still the Alpha," He said then squeezed my hand a bit, making me cry out then released me."

"Mommy, are you guys fighting?" Lily asked and they both turned.

Hayden pulled me to his chest, "Of not baby, We were practicing for a play, We were playing. Now come on let's go."

"To your home Daddy?" Elijah asked him.

He pulled both of them up in his arms and then started leaving.

"Yes baby, And we are getting on that jet that has just arrived."

"Wow," They both said at the time.

"Where did you keep all the bags from yesterday?" I shouted.

"In the plane" He answered but did not stop.

I watched him enter the jet with the twins and after standing for a few minutes, I followed them to the jet, while trying to pretend that I did not see him laughing.
