Alpha Matthew rushes over to me, his face filled with concern. I assure him that I’m alright, but he’s still worried. “Who was that werewolf?” he asks.

“I don’t know,” I reply. “He escaped before I could reveal his identity.”

Mark joins us, “The werewolf with black fur was Jason, it could have been Steven.”

“I’ll go after him, Lauryn. You just stay here,” Jamien offers to track down the werewolf who attacked me.

“I don’t think that’s necessary,” I say hesitantly.

“It’s alright, I need to find out who attacked my master,” Jamien insists.

I don’t want to argue any longer, so I let him go after the werewolf.

“I think it’s best if we go home now and take them to the silver prison,” Mark suggests to us.

We agree, even though it’s not the end of everything. Alpha Matthew takes me home with a beaming smile on his face.

Mom and Hannah greet us with nervous anticipation.

“How did it go, honey? Did you succeed?” Mom asks, worried.

I smile and hug Mom. “Everything’s alright, Mom. We’re done,
