Chapter 46 - Different type of bachelorette

I am thirty minutes late to pick up Mirella and surprisingly parents are still here. Don't get me wrong, not so many parents fetch their children early but there is like almost every mother here and mostly from Mirella's class.

"Is everything alright?" I enter the class and when the teacher's eyes fall on me her face falls.

"Oh, Aria. Are you the one fetching Mirella today?"

"Yes and for the whole week, Mirella's father is out of town." I smile at her but I get an opposite response from her than I expected.

"Well, that is a bummer. Ladies! Blake isn't coming, I guess you might as well go." She goes back to her table while most ladies in the room groan and leave.

"That was...weird." I take Mirella's hand and walk out, "how are you darling?"

"Good! We learned a lot of things but I miss daddy."

"I'm sure he misses you too, like everyone." I say the last part lowly when thinking about what just happened.

"Aria?" Jack voice calls behind me.

Smiling, I turn around and my heart skips a beat.
