Chapter 24

Maya

I put Axel to bed and turned off the light in his room before heading to the kitchen. It was only eight o'clock in the evening but it seemed late at night for me. My body was all sore, the bath with salts that I had done had not helped at all, certainly, my muscles had softened but they still hurt.

Plus the memories of that wild night kept coming through my mind and in my ears was still ringing the sound of Nate’s hoarse voice screaming as he came into my mouth.

The more I tried to get rid of those memories, the more they crept in and filled my mind, making my headache in an incredible way.

Luckily, I got away from him before he could stop me and try to talk about what happened between us that night. I knew he wanted to talk about it, I could feel it in his eyes, and I knew that story wouldn’t end there.

Sooner or later, Nate and I would have been alone in the same room, and then there would have been no escape.

I wasn’t ready to have a confrontation like that, I wasn’t ready t
