Chapter 41: Daddy Issues

I held the fake smile on my face as I stared at Raimondo with an amicable expression. I’ve been holding the same expression for the whole day since Pietro appeared at the engagement party earlier.

Since morning until now, all I did was present a smile and pretend that all was well with me as I hid anger deep in my heart.

With so many guests present at the engagement party, I couldn’t risk anyone to see what I was really thinking about the whole event.

It was easy to fool everyone and make them think that I was hhaving a good time in the party even though I was boiling in anger from the inside.

No one would have any idea how much effort it took me to be all smiles all day and to keep myself from bursting out from the real emotions that were boiling up inside of me.

Not to mention the time when I had a personal conversation with Pietro. I even had to force out a laugh in front of him as I play along with his pretentious facade.

He had no idea that during inside our whole conv
