Chapter 44: The Visit

I had already lost hope that Letizia’s advice would really have its effect on Pietro. She said that by leaving Pietro all by himself, he would feel very bothered because of my absence. She said that by ignoring him for two days, it would drive him crazy to come visit us instead.

So far, I couldn’t see her words working. For two days, Pietro never came and I never received a single message or call from him. I don’t think that her promises were really working.

As the third day nears by, I could tell that she’s growing anxious every hour as she starts to doubt her own words too.

Letizia is like an open book, all I had to do is look at her face to know what she was thinking. She couldn’t even held back her surprise when Pietro appeared right in front of her.
