I didn't do anything

The diary was now in his hand, as he sat calmly on his armchair. Was it right decision to read it?

He asked himself as he caressed the cover with his fingertips. 

But he was also encaged in his frustrating guilt, of doing injustice. How could he overcome with it? He didn't know. 

Knowingly he carried the diary and headed out of the room. 

He came downstairs and went inside his study room, but as he was about to close the door he saw Ruby crossing the hall. 

From where is she coming at this hour? He became suspicious. 

And soon he saw Jason coming straight behind her back and climbing the stairs like some wild animal had been chasing him. 

Letting his thoughts carry him away, he assumed that they must have planned to meet secretly in the dark so no one can witness them. 

Not asking himself for a reasonable explanation, he hid the diary in the drawer of his table and followed her.
