"Are you still hesitant to return to the place in question?" He quizzed me when I stepped back into the living room, inquiring after I had finished changing.

I nodded my head, still not ready to face Aiden. What he did left me feeling completely overwhelmed and with an ache in my chest that made it hard to breathe. I'm not sure why the thought of seeing him again was making me feel this way, but all I knew was that it wasn't right yet. It's been a struggle to keep everything under control; even just his name had started to sound like an unfamiliar language on my tongue

“I-I can find another place to hide if you don’t want me here.”
