CHAPTER 3

"SHEENA! GET OUT! WHAT IS THAT DRAMA?!"

"Sheila, Sheena needs to rest first,"

"I DON'T CARE! GET HER OUT!"

"But..."

"Wait, are you deaf?! Get that flirty out!"

"Sheena isn't feeling well."

"WHAT?! DO YOU WANT TO BE HURTED?!!"

As I hear the screams, And covered my ears.

Is this the feeling of death?

I shuddered as I heard a loud knock on the door.

Badump...Badump...Badump...

They have already arrived.

'Oh my God!'

I close my eyes as my entire body trembles and hug myself against the wall.

"OPEN THE DAMN DOOR, SHEENA!!"

"Come out, Sheena, mommy won't hurt you."

I do not also want...

You're bad!

"SHEENA!"

I burst into tears and covered my mouth so they couldn't hear what I was saying. They are only a few steps away from me.

Badump... Badump... Badump...

"SHEENA!"

The door swung open, and quick footsteps approached, pulling me upright.

"Don't make fun of us!" my twin yelled, clutching my arm tightly.

"P-Please... Don't..." I cried to her, but instead of feeling sorry for me, Shanna hit me hard, causing me to sit down and cry.

"Get dressed! A visitor is coming! Get ready!" She yelled threw at me before walking away.

"Sheena, get dressed okay? Someone is going to buy you, so you have to look good in front of them," mommy said softly to me as she smiled and exited my room.

Once I understood everything she said, I had to wipe away my tears.

This life is a mess!

Isn't it still enough for them to torture me?

They punish and hurt me. Then what now? They've sold me?!

What else is there? What else should I go through at their hands?!

Go! Make me to suffer even more!

Until you're satisfied, until I gave up everything.

When Shanna was fixing me, she kept smiling in front of me, as if she truly considered me a sister.

Does she not have a heart? Aren't our lives intertwined, but why is she treating me that way? Why is she so angry with me?

"We're done! Ohmyyy! Just be thankful twin, someone will buy you even if you're a dirty woman or a flirt!" She laughed insultingly at me and firmly slapped my face.

"You're so ugly! You don't belong in a Carlos! Like duh! You look like trash! You're a trash thing!" She laughed, so I bowed down and didn't say anything.

I'll be punished again if I speak.

"Just be obedient and kind, I promise I won't hurt you, and a wealthy old man paid for you!"

My world stopped when she said that.

They sold me to a wealthy old man? Is there truly no mercy for them? Are they never going to change?

I was completely taken aback and burst out laughing.

They show no mercy. They're already abusing me; what else can they do? They're monstrous.

"Shanna darling, hurry up, the guests have already arrived," mom said, and Shanna nodded, excited about what was about to happen.

"Sheena,"

I turned to look at Mother Esme and Tina, who were concerned about my well-being.

"I'm sorry I can't help you," Mother Esme admitted sadly.

I gave her a sad smile.

"Perhaps it's my destiny, Mom," I said as she shook her head and stroked my hair.

"There's still hope that you'll come out of this room in a few seconds to be picked up by the old man who will buy you," she cried and hugged me, even though Tina joined us in our embrace.

"We'll get you out of here,"

Tina's words to me surprised me.

I couldn't believe it when I looked at them in surprise.

"My child is correct, you cannot live in misery; you must be free from the hell of this life..." Mother Esme sobbed as she hugged me, leave me speechless in front of the mirror.

They could be killed if they let me out. I'm aware of what my family is capable of, and I don't want them to be involved in what's going on with me. I don't want them to hurt me the way they do.

"Don't worry, Sheena. We'll take care of how you escape later," Tina said, smiling as if to tell myself to trust them.

I'm not sure whether I'll be happy or nervous about what they want to do.

I'm glad even though I finally have hope that I'll be free in this life of mine. Or fear because they are in danger, and my parents have the ability to kill them. They have the ability to inflict pain on others.

No. I will not put their lives in danger just because of me.

"Mom, Tina. I accept my fate, so don't risk your life just for me.. Assure me that you can leave this hellish house, don't worry about me, I can still do this," I said with a smile. to them and simply patted them on the back

I looked in the mirror once more and caressed my cheek.

We're the same from every angle. Eyes, nose, and lips. We have the same characteristics.

Except for her hair, which is naturally curly and dark, mine is long and straight and not nearly as dark.

And it's because of this face that I've been hiding in my twin's shadow.

In addition, this face is the source of my pain.

My eyes welled up. The tears... Full of resentment, hatred, and bitterness.

Is there a the day once I, too, will be free? And see the real world?

Tina told me that the world is as beautiful and colorful as she said.

Where you can make many real friends, fake friends, and user friends.

Mother Esme used to tell me that the world isn't fair because people aren't equal.

Some are poor, some are wealthy, and some are unlucky.

What makes that unfair? Why can't everyone be treated equally? Why not be satisfied with what you have?

There would have been no hardships, and no crimes might have existed. There would have been no evil people who would have done anything against her.

And there would be no slaves, but what differents me from others?

I, too, am a slave who is abused, exploited, and punished.

They can play with me because I am a slave.

Is it possible for me to live normally again? Those who go through childhood and engage in street games, as well as those who go through virginity and have a 'crush' or boyfriend.

I'm not yet sure if I'll be jealous of other people because they didn't go through what I did, or if they're really lucky because their family isn't like mine.

Because what if they've seen it all? There, I can say that I am not the only one who can go through what others cannot.

"Sheena, It's time," Shanna said, smiling as she leaned against the door.

My twin is blessed in every way. My mom and dad and many of her friends adored her. And anything else she can get his hands on.

Not at all like me, Her twin's life is a living hell.

"I'll follow you," I said hesitantly, forcing a smile.

She simply rolled her eyes and walked away.

"Are you certain about what you're going to do, Sheena?" Mother Esme questioned.

I held her hand and said, 'I'm fine,' even though I wasn't.

I'm concerned about what might happen to me tonight.

But I have to face everything.

Faced with the darkness. This might be my last chance.
