Nina made for the office with her protruding tummy leading the way. She stepped into her father’s office and sat down panting heavily.

“Nina, why are you here?” Her dad asked when she sat down. He was concerned about her because she had started to fall sick again during the sixth month of the pregnancy and had been asked to rest again.

“Dad, I came to request for a long leave, this is my letter” she said placing her letter on the desk.

“But couldn’t we have discussed that at home? You could’ve have just called me, instead of putting yourself at risk” Mr. Story lamented.

“There was nothing risky about getting here dad, I came from the hospital and decided to pass by and seek permission properly, the doctors think it’s time to allow Cody come home, Cody’s mum thinks he should come to their home but I think we should just go back to our house” Nina said. Mr. Story frowned.

“But honey, you’re also not well you can’t take care of him either” he protested.
