47; A scorned woman

Eileen was almost asleep when a call startled her. She grudgingly answered the call.

“Open the door” a familiar voice shouted at her from the other end of the line. She quickly went to open the door and Robin stormed in. She gulped and closed the door.

“I see you’re in here enjoying you sleep peacefully, while my sister lies in a hospital undergoing another surgery, do you know how much pain she’s in at the moment? Can you give a good reason why I shouldn’t kill you right now?” Robin yelled.

Eileen gulped in fear, she was alone at home if he killed her he could easily get away with it.

“Can you give me a good reason not to kill you?” He barked again.

“I’m not the enemy… if you kill me the one who really did this will get away with it” her voice quivered.

“Isn’t this your fault? Weren’t you the one who asked me to own up for an accident I didn’t cause?” Robin yelled.

“I did it to protect your cousin… I was mostly concerned about him, he crashed into the car of a powerful person’s son
