Chapter 37; The reunion

Benjy opened his eyes on the hospital bed and his eyes immediately met Rosa’s. He sat up slowly.

“I checked your vitals you seem okay for someone who was involved in an accident, but you’d have to lay here for a while I need to examine you a bit longer” she instructed.

“Where’s Cody?” Benjy asked almost immediately. Rosa stared at him confused, she wondered if he had lost his mind from the collision.

“Who’s Cody?” Rosa asked.

“Cody Whyte, I don’t know why I’m asking you, but I was in an accident with him, I don’t have insurance I can’t cover the cost involved in his repairs and hospital bills…” he ranted.
