Chapter 42; Catching the culprit

Tia run her hands lovingly through Cody’s hair as a tear dropped from her eye.

“Dear sir please wake up, you’ve been lying here for 2 and half months, that’s so unlike you” she sniffed and wiped her tears.

“I told God to help you wake up, I pray for you everyday, Mr. Whyte please wake up for me”

She took his hand and kissed it and then looked at his face, his eyes slowly opened and met hers. Her mouth dropped open in surprise.

“Master Cody you’re awake!” She exclaimed and tried to ring the bell for a doctor but Cody tightened his grip on her hand.

She stared at him confused “don’t you want me to get you a doctor?” She asked with concern.

Cody shook his head in response before closing his eyes again.
