Chapter 56: Lily in a Coma

The news of Lily's condition had reached the ears of Derrick and all who had come to see her. They all got to know that Lily was pregnant at the time of the accident and had lost the baby who was a few weeks old. She also suffered an acute cerebral haemorrhage. Although she appeared to be out of danger after the operation, the doctor had said it would take months for her to recover fully.

Derrick was still standing rooted to the spot where the doctor had delivered the news of Lily's condition to them. He only moved when he saw Lily on a stretcher being moved to the intensive care unit for close monitoring. He followed them his gaze on Lily who had her whole body covered with a bandage with IVs attached to her. He was stopped at the entrance.
