CXXII. Rivals
The Grand Runway Opening is fast approaching. Geovensia is taking all the pavements just to increase the number of confirmed guests in the list. She intended to invite other fashionistas, some of them are even icons of Parisian couture, and sought for the known investors enthusiastic in the fashion industry. But she could barely make the minimum. The Leal Vêtement has already secured three confirmed guests but they have to approach others more.
"Who would have thought that Mansha would teach us to not take the shortcut?" Geovensia keeps on reminding herself that if they will go through this process, they will appreciate all the keys and holes that are always around to lead them to the better doors of opportunities. Geovensia is learning now how to reach out to key peoples. It is easy to make friends but to secure their time for the grand runway is another. Presenting to them what they could expect on the runway is a new principle she learned recently.

Geovensia has now her bespoke models committed to their calling and have already perfected their moves among their rehearsals. She got freelancers with their professional performances to govern the main and backstage. She also has lighting and technical personnel for the overall system. She turned around and saw Essi and Victor coming in. Geovensia immediately met them halfway and hugged them. Her friend, on the other hand, looked around the Paulsson Pavilion.“It is only now that I realized how beautiful this place is.” She can barely remember who was the brilliant architect who designed this in the mid-70s. Although Grant's call was all terrifying already inside his office, his aide were wise enough to contain the noise to prevent an issue from spewing out within the conglomerate system. Although they have already gotten used on Grant's strictness on Oneil, the current situation cannot be stopped with mundane excuses.Niana entered Grant's office, worried on how her grandfather is fuming in anger. Grant looks at his grandniece as if he found his best ally only to speak out how angry he is at Oneil. He immediately asked her where Oneil is."He went to Pierre to inspect the development of our new tower," Niana answered."Call him for me. Tell him that he needs to return right now."Niana could only nod and hope that this will not escalate to something worse. Niana understands that Gwyneth must have liked Essi very much for Oneil. She can see it on the way that she describes Essi to her. Gwyneth says that Oneil must be lucky enough because Essi still has feelings for him although he forgot about her.“Here, we got some of our photos at Willoughby,” Gwyneth pulled her phone for Niana to know how Essi looked. “She’s gorgeous, isn’t she?”As far as Niana could remember, this kind of looks are not the ones that Oneil would easily like. Maybe she has a great personality too which makes her likeable.“What about her work?” Niana was expecting to hear more about Essi’s background on co-founding Leal Vetement. But Gwyneth rather mentions more about Essi’s real business which is owning and leading an investment company in Asia. Now she understands why Grant does not take her easily. In Grant’s eyes, Essi must be a replicated threat from the person of Mr.

Without Essi, Oneil could have barely survive the aftermath of the night. She's the one he needed the most. It already meant so much for him that she was there, like the whole of the rescue corps to help him and bring him to a place that is better to be called home than the manor. They are back again to the place where Oneil could count his first heartbeat blooming for Essi.Oneil is sitting on the couch and Essi is aiding his bruise. She was careful in every touch she makes on putting the cotton bud near his cheek. But her eyes are sad. Oneil always knew this eyes. Alas, he should never be proud of knowing the meaning of this look from her face. But this remains familiar because of the times that he tried pushing Essi away. Essi knows the likes of Oneil in terms of dealing their own problems. That is why she had for sometime believed that they could be in sync, because they tend to solve their problems first before telling it to others or attend their emotional breakdowns. She doesn’t know why but she knew it in him very well, that he also wishes to still not look weak in Essi’s eyes. But how can she not help him when she found him in his sad state upon returning to the house? He’s exhausted after chasing for a job. No one can would like to receive him because he is overqualified for the job and the jobs where he could perform his skills are still not open among these companies.Essi went towards Oneil who was sitting upon the kitchen’s door. She brought two cups of coffee for each other. She is trying to read on how to interact with him. But Oneil would not say anything. So she remained unready to utter a word but it didn’t stop her to hug him.Oneil smiled

The manor has entirely changed because Oneil was kicked out. But Niana came and suddenly acted as if she has the title of the First Grandchild that she enjoys the privilege of always talkingwith Grant.It was supposed to be Oneil’s title. Niana should be exempted with her disappointment to the Mercators when they pretend as if nothing happened around.
