Chapter No.56: Lily is hurt

Emilia/Lillian Montigue:-

"Where is she? Where is my daughter? Take me to her right now." I screamed and cried as soon as I reached the hospital and asked the receptionist about my daughter "Lillian. Lillian Foster. Where is she?"

I grabbed Lucas, my heartbeat racing, in the sterile white corridors of the hospital. Each step seemed to be an endless dragging, the desperation in my lungs as the seconds passed. The receptionist had presented us to Lily’s room and I got there immediately.

We made it to the door and my shaking hand pushed it open. The view that met my eyes ripped my heart into pieces. Lily lay on the hospital bed, tiny body cocooned in bandages, inhaling hospital antiseptic. Machines hummed gently measuring her precarious condition.

“Oh, Lily,” my words stifled, urged to her side. Lucas walked close behind with his presence serving as an illusion of help. The nurse was leaning a middle-aged woman with a kind face came up near us.
