34. Convincing her

Antonio's POV :

After the mesmerising kiss, I controlled myself to stay calm. At this range, I know Josh would surface anytime to claim her. Thankfully I pushed him to the back of my mind when he started talking about his interest in her. After the kiss, I saw a blushed smile on her face and leaned more to my chest. No… No… She is making it difficult for me.

Somehow, I cleaned her up and myself and wrapped her in a bathrobe. As she was asleep on my chest. I changed myself too. Then I took her to a room and placed her there. I tucked the hair strands falling on her face. I covered her with a quilt and I was about to move away from her. But, she held my hand and placed it under her chin. I tried to gently move it away from her, then I felt her soft whimpers.

I got curious and got near her. She was sobbing in her sleep. I don't know how to make her calm. I patted her head and said,

"It's okay, Kaylynn… whatever is disturbing you, let it go… You're in safe hands… and nobody will hurt you
