Chapter 73

Yana's PoV

Two Weeks Later

Alex finally woke up a week ago and I'm absolutely thrilled he's okay. It's been a gruesome period for all of us but I'm simply grateful he didn't get any brain damage. Dylan is in custody, especially since Connor handed over video evidence to show he broke into the house, and started the assault.

As I'm getting off the bed, a sharp pain courses through my stomach and I start feeling dizzy. I groan as the pain intensifies, and all I can do is press the call button Zach installed for Khadijah, my nurse.

Moments later, she rushes into the room breathless. "Yana, talk to me. What's happening?" She drills as she puts the blood pressure cuff unto my arm.

"Aaaarrrghhh!" I groan, clutching my stomach as another intense pain jabs me. "It huuùrrtttss." I manage to relay, as beads of sweat and tears trickles down my face.

As the machine beeps, I realise her eyes widen but she quickly masks it. "I need to get you to the hospital ASAP." Khadijah states rather calmly.
