Chapter 24 (part 1)

A strange feeling made him turn over a couple of times between the crumpled sheets. He didn't know what time it was, but the idea of having to face a new day just didn't sit well with him.

"Don't you have to go to work today?"

The caressing voice and the light touch, which brushed a lock of hair from his forehead, woke him up completely.

Opening his eyes, William found himself staring into a pair of luscious dark eyes.

"What are you still doing here?" He asked abruptly, crinkling his eyes.

He hoped that by clearing his still sleepy vision, that morning hallucination would disappear immediately.

"Ouch! We're rather grumpy early in the morning." Wryly noted 'the hallucination.'
