Chapter 19 – The Mystery That Is Fallon

She has been asleep for three days straight.

The news of her kidnapping alarmed the guests of the casino that day and they kept annoying me for updates. I had to stay at the casino to settle the situation for those days that she was asleep and I felt gut-wrenching that I couldn't look over her personally.

The workload piled more than before. It was keeping me in that office.

For days, I holed up in that room again. I could only visit her late at night when I would see her in a slightly different position than last night's. That night's events traumatized her and exhausted her body, I thought.

On the fourth day, I visited one of our ports for underground business. I had a ship full of traded goods arriving today, but I was informed that they were late for over an hour. I figured to personally check up on the situation, to find an excuse to leave the office for a moment.
