Chapter 20 Part I – Some Quiet Espionage

The next day, I was visited by Rory.

I woke up late and was only informed of her arrival after I showered. I was still worn out from sneaking out yesterday and using a private plane to get to the Long Beach port and back.

I received Leo's message on the Elite Ai that relayed HQ's orders to intercept an arriving cargo ship that closed a deal with Rios Mafia. It was a high-profile side-task which is why I met with other field agents in the private plane, and we invaded the ship.

I remember I was almost caught by Jett, too.

My colleagues had to finish up the task by collecting evidence and then I had to go back by plane to the mansion, which took me over an hour. I was faster than Jett, who had to drive for over four hours.
