Chapter 25

Clarice looked at him, confused, her face full of question marks.

"The more people misunderstand that you are my woman, the more likely it is for you to marry me," Edward said. "But now, you must be tired, so lie down and rest; I won't bother you anymore." Edward then turned ready to leave.

"Wait a moment," Clarice stopped him.

"What's wrong?" Edward turned his head and asked.

"Nothing, I just have one question for you."

"Alright, you can ask anything; I'm an open book."

"I just wanted to know why you chose me out of all the women available to you."

"So, that's what you want to know." Edward smiled, looking at her. "These conditions you presented are very good for me and could solve almost all my urgent needs. However, because the conditions are so good, I feel a bit uncomfortable. I need to know the reason you chose me." Clarice spoke with sincere tone.

"You're being honest." Edward laughed, then regained his serious expression. "You want to know why I chose you, so I'll tell
