He took my hands and held it as soon as I left my room.

"She really hates me." He chuckled softly, and I could sense the sadness in his voice.

"It will change, she just doesn't know you that well just like I didn't earlier," I said, trying to reassure him. Kumiko inherited my beef with Charles, and I can't blame her. I just had to tell her how much I was in love with Charles, and that we were dating now.

"I hope it does," he said. I haven't seen him worry about how people thought of him, this was the first.
