Chapter 27 I'll Satisfy You Right Now

The 6th of May was a cloudy day. It was the day of Tracy and Anthon's engagement.

Faye showed up at 6:00 pm on the dot. The engagement party had yet to begin, but many guests were already in attendance. They were making small talk over drinks.

Tracy wore a beautiful evening gown. Her hair and makeup had also been done exquisitely. She looked like a princess as she and Anthon made their way around the crowd with their arms linked.

When she saw Faye, she let go of Anthon and approached her. "Faye, you're here."

Tracy held Faye's hand. "I knew you wouldn't have an evening gown. Come on. I've prepared one for you. Let's get your makeup done so you can get dressed."

Something had to be afoot. Tracy wouldn't be so nice for no reason.

Faye looked at her lazily. "No, that's unnecessary. I'm fine with what I'm wearing."

"I can't allow that. All the guests today are prominent figures. You'll be embarrassing yourself with your current outfit," Tracy said firmly.
