Chapter 46 : Where is my mother?

"I'm not leaving here until someone tells me where my mother went," the young lady stood firm and clear.

Mrs. Kiara approached her, attempting to calm her down. "Your mom isn’t in this house. If she was here, I would have brought her to you. I am a mother too, and I wouldn’t like to see my children in pain," she added. "She must have traveled somewhere impromptu without your concern, why don’t you wait a little longer or have you been to her workplace"

"Please help me find my mother," the young lady pleaded, kneeling on her knees.

"But we need to have a statement on this," the police insisted.

Brindle intervened, walking up to the policeman. "Are you trying to blame the most powerful man in this country for kidnapping?" she challenged him.

"That's not what I meant, madam. We're only doing our job," the police responded, visibly shaken.

"Job?" Brindle exclaimed. "Will your chief director be happy when he hears you came to the residence of Mr. Woods to accuse him of kidnapping?" sh
