Chapter 2

Walking through the front door of the large dining room Sky hears noises, yelling, and playful banter, and then she sees a large window that lets in a lot of light making the room bright and beautiful, this makes her wonder how the room would look like at night, especially with a full moon in the sky.

The noise doesn't stop, everyone is oblivious to her presence and this allows her to watch.

The room is packed with guys, tall, bulky guys that look to be about her age, but everyone is tall to Sky with her height at five foot five inches.

One guy throws a glass cup at the other tall guy opposite him like a basketball and thankfully the other guy catches it...

' I don't think my aunt will be ecstatic knowing that her fine China is being used as a replacement for basketball'

Let me tell you something about Sky, she has this innate ability to blurt out her thoughts without remorse, most times she does this unknowingly like right now...

The fact that about 6 pairs of eyes are starring at her and the room happens to be extremely quiet right now shows that her last thought was less of a thought and more of an utterance

Ty walks in at that moment grabs her by the arm and pulls her fully into the room

"Everyone, this is my cousin Sky, she just got in from California"

"Sky remember your Uncle, David" Her Mom says coming into the room with the older man from the backyard

"It's nice to see you again," she says, looking at him with a smile on my face that looks forced though she tries to make it look anything but ..." and it's nice to meet all of you," She says to all the tall giants around the table then she take a seat opposite the big window.

David, Ty's dad seeing as the guys haven't moved or stopped staring shouted "last one to seat runs laps till they pass out" and that did the trick, they all scampered into their seats

"I'm Lucas," the guy sitting beside Sky says interrupting her stare down with the part of the lawn she could see through the window

"I'm Dan," another one says "I'm Luke".... "I'm Bash....and that was how the introductions went with everyone calling out names she probably won't remember and she just sat there pretending to be interested.

'I know if I put in an effort I could make friends', She thought

Sky was quite skilled at holding conversations and keeping people interested

'I could even go on a few dates who knows I might just find the one......again but at the end of the day they all just leave, everyone leaves.'

Her thoughts were interrupted by uncle David's voice

"you need to take your responsibility seriously Ace, the whole team is counting on you...."

Looking up from her food she stares into the blackest pair of eyes she has ever seen.

Ace was around 6 ft 6 inches, had copper-red hair, and was beautiful he also looked like a guy that knew it too. From the conversation, Sky gathered that he was the captain of the Basketball team and didn't show up for practice

Ace walked in with a swag that only guys that are confident with a hint of cocky and arrogance could pull off, he kissed aunt Loren on the check, said good morning to Sky's mum, and starts fist-bumping and high fiving the rest of the guys then he stands opposite her in front of the window and looks at her with a look of surprise and then one of curiosity ....like...she was out of place, then he opens his mouth...

Ace's Pov.

"Sky" that's what comes out of her mouth further confusing me.

I have never seen this girl before, trust me I'd know if I have, even if it was just a glance, eyes like hers are unforgettable, I think I forgot to breathe for a second there

"Huh?" was my brilliant reply 'insert mental face slap here' my parents would be soo proud right now to know that the only reply my brain could formulate after all the expensive education they made sure I received was "huh?"

"My name is Sky, it is nice to meet you" and then she went back to her food.

Is that it, I didn't even get one word in. Sitting in the seat opposite her I picked up a plate and filled it with food while still covertly staring at her, there was something about her, about the way she said the words like she didn't want to speak but she had to then there was the way aunt Loren, the woman at the table(probably her mum) and Tyler stared at her like they were expecting her to do something but she did nothing, just moved the food around her plate a bit, put a few bites in her mouth and repeat but this gave me ample chance to look at her, everyone at the table was busy talking about one thing or the other and asides from the stares she got from her family and some of the guys, no one bothered her.

This creature was beautiful with long blond hair packed up loosely and loose strands framing her face, skin like milk, dainty hands, and then she raised her head and looked at me, she probably felt me staring but I couldn't stop she has the bluest eyes like the sky

Yes, her name is Sky from her eyes

"Sky...." This got her attention. "because of your eyes I guess"

Her answer was a small smile which drew my eyes to her lips, plump and Red like they've been bitten

I was enamored...

I am not a saint and I do not claim to be, I've had my fair share of girls, I am what people call a playboy but with me, you get the truth, I like sex like any other guy, lots of it, and from the beginning they know it's a no strings attached deal, some get clingy but like I said I'm not in for any strings....then why is my heart beating this fast and why are my palms sweaty and why can't I peel my eyes off her.
