Chandni pulled Atharv onto her lap and gave him a soft kiss on his forehead.
"Hey I am not mean, I am the cutest and friendliest bear there ever is... I am Winnie the Pooh" Chandni exclaimed with a loud laugh.
"Hmm... but I thought you hated being called Winnie the Pooh!" Atharv pointed out.
"Well yes, initially when Dev called me that I was so mad at him. But then I got used to it, I guess. Things become endearing to you and become part of you, once you get used to them you know." She ruffled his hair affectionately.
"Maybe he called you that because you were just like Winnie. Winnie also likes the same old things. His honey, his friends." Atharv said wisely but Chandni found it so hard to suppress her smile.

Chandni's Home, Mumbai. Next day morning 5AM Chandni woke up as usual and freshened up. She checked her phone for any messages...there were none. Normally, whenever Vikram went out of town he would leave a message or call but this time he didn't. She felt a bit uneasy but reminded herself of the time zone differences between Dubai and here. Maybe he will call later. But she knew the real reason she was uneasy was that there were no calls from Aryan. And with Vikram too out of town, she had no one to ask about his wellbeing. She was thankful to Atharv last night for distracting and tiring her out, so she could at least catch a few hours of sleep. Otherwise, since that night of Aryan's heartbreaking chat and his fall, she hardly slept, most of the time waking up in the middle of night from nightmares. She looked at Atharv sleeping so
"My life is set anyway. I have adapted myself to my situation and I am happy where I am. I really am. Believe me. But my life revolves around Atharv. Atharv is the sole source of happiness for me. Do you want to take away even that from me?" She asked in a choked voice. Raj Singh began to reply, but she cut him short. "Aryan can happily marry someone who truly deserves him, and he can start a family. Can't he? A proper loving family, devoid of any bitter memories and misunderstandings. But if he comes to know about Atharv, he will get a son for sure, but he will lose out on all the rest of it, and you and I both know that he deserves nothing less than happy fulfilling family life, after all the suffering he had been through. Atharv has me and Vikram and between us, we will make sure he is well looked after. Aryan should move forward in life and I want nothing
Kanhaiya and Rana spun around quickly, startled, but it was Aishwarya who was shocked to the core to find Aryan standing at the doorway, cool as a Cucumber. As Rana and Kanhaiya's hands moved unobtrusively towards their pockets, Aryan took a gun out of his pocket with such fast hands, that it made Kanhaiya glare at him. "Relax Kanhaiya... I am just here on a social visit... to talk to my ex Mother In Law, mother of my Ex-wife! But you see, she hates me so much that I had to bring DSP Siddharth along, for protection. He is just outside, waiting for me to come back!" Aryan's innocent expressions were in stark contrast to his menacing tone, as he stressed on every syllable he spoke. One of the goons went to the window and checked out Aryan's statement and confirmed it back to Rana. Rana and Kanhaiya put their weapon
Aryan walked quickly back to the waiting police Van and hopped in much to the relief of DSP Siddharth. "Abe Gadhe!! (You Idiot ) why did you take so much time? I was getting so tense here." Sid hissed at his friend as he started the Van and began to drive. 'I was testing my acting skills out there Bro! Oh God! Now, even I am speaking like that Drama Queen!" Aryan cursed himself and broke into a guffaw as Sid shook his head mockingly. "Yaar I am so happy for you. I haven't seen you this carefree and happy for so long. Miku is such a lovable brother. And his mannerisms are bound to rub on you, don't worry!" Sid's sincere reply calmed Aryan and brought a lingering smile on his lips. "
Till she heard Nargis Chachi's frantic rap on the door, Chandni was lost in her own happy world. Apologizing profusely, she hurried and got ready in a few minutes, taking special care with her Sindhoor and wore some bangles too, after a long time. She made sure that Raj Uncle had multiple serves of all the dishes before she started eating. Along with Nargis Chachi and Rashid Chacha, they all had a happy meal together, still sorely missing VikramJi among them. "VikramJi is coming tomorrow." Chandni informed Raj Singh when he inquired after him. Turning to her Chacha, she added, "He called me in the morning while I was at the office." Rashid smiled happily. Afterwards, they settled down in front of TV as Atharv forced Raj Singh t
Aryan, Miku and his friends along with Avinash and Smitha Thakur, Satpal Singh and DSP Siddharth were all seated at a large table in the Army guest house as Aryan explained the plan of action for the next day. Avinash and Satpal listened to the whole thing attentively. "Is that all?" Avinash asked. Aryan looked at him, taken back. "Yes, don't you like it?" He asked, slightly hesitant. "It's brilliant. But how come Me and Satpal are not part of it?" Avinash demanded. "Oh!" Aryan smiled in relief. "Well you are my backup plan Avinash ji. I didn't know that you would be part of the scheme till just a few days ago. I mean even Miku
Next day morning dawned nice and bright, contrary to the gloom and anxiety that filled Shankar's heart. Shankar knew that today was a make or break day for him as far as his survival in Allahabad was concerned. Rana and his gang were sure to target his gang now that they come out in the open for the first time, since his arrest almost a year ago. He ordered his men to lie low, not to aggravate or get in a clash with any of Rana's men, and they did it, quite reluctantly. His right-hand man Giridhar, who joined him once he split up with Rana, was clever to understand that their numbers were far less than Rana's gang and it was prudent to lie low and wait for their leader Shankar's return before they attempt anything. Giridhar had come to visit him just two days ago and explained all the precautions they were taking, so that Shankar could safely be transported back to their home. Two identical Sumo vans woul
Naini Central Jail. Rana's first son Manish, who was doing his time in Naini Central Jail, was mad as hell with his father. How could his father not arrange for his early release, even though he had the full support of that influential woman Aishwarya Malhothra, while a normal Public prosecutor could do it for Shankar?? As he sat in his cell, seething with fury, he too heard all the commotion when Rana was being taken out of his cell for his release formalities and felt a deep pang of envy. To add insult to the injury, Shankar looked at him and gave a broad smile on his way out. But Manish knew that Shankar's days were numbered. His father promised him that the day Shankar got released from jail would be his last day on earth, which was his only solace. He missed being with his father as much as his gang of men, who were almost like a family to him. He knew that their whole gang w
