Chapter 44

 Chandni's Home, Mumbai.

Next day morning 5AM

Chandni woke up as usual and freshened up. She checked her phone for any messages...there were none. Normally, whenever Vikram went out of town he would leave a message or call but this time he didn't. She felt a bit uneasy but reminded herself of the time zone differences between Dubai and here. Maybe he will call later. But she knew the real reason she was uneasy was that there were no calls from Aryan. And with Vikram too out of town, she had no one to ask about his wellbeing. She was thankful to Atharv last night for distracting and tiring her out, so she could at least catch a few hours of sleep. Otherwise, since that night of Aryan's heartbreaking chat and his fall, she hardly slept, most of the time waking up in the middle of night from nightmares.

She looked at Atharv sleeping so
