CHAPTER 3

Tj was still reeling from the events of the morning as she sat down on her bed at the hotel. Just as she was scrolling through the pictures she took with jihoon , her phone started to ring.  And of course it’s Irene,  it’s clear she had already seen the pictures that Tj had posted on the gram. "Irene!" Tj exclaimed, her voice full of surprise. "You've seen the pictures yeah, can’t believe I got to meet the park Ji-hoon“

"Bitch! Just one day in Korea and you are already meeting celebs!" Irene said, her Nigerian accent proficient due to her shock. "Oya, start telling me everything,  where? How? And why?!"

Tj was amused .She immediately ratted out all of the events that took places today. “Guy, I don’t even know this Hyun Byung-ho ooo, I was so shocked by the whole thing".

“well maybe this Hot Ceo has a crush on you” Irene said. “I’m guessing after seeing your fair fine girl face through the screen he was hooked.”

Tj blushing, replied her “well of course he would be interested  ,” she said. “Can't you see these curves , girl I’m sure when I step outside I’ll have to fend off the guys with a stick.”

Irene let out a  bark of laughter . “ Abi o! Korea doesn't know the storm that’s about to hit them” she said with pride in her voice.

Tj spoke about going to HYUN-TECH headquarters the next day. “I’m going to meet this CEO for the first time tomorrow, then, and after that I, Marvy, and Celia are going to hit the clubs at Hongdae!”  

Irene let out another squeal. “That’s so exciting!” she said. “But hold on I thought it was just you and your boss on this trip so how is Marvy the assistant to the CFO and Celia the head of the Company’s legal team there?”

“oh! Yea out of my excitement i forgot to tell you that they arrived this morning ” Tj replied.

“ugh can't believe I'm stuck here and you all are going to party your lives away. Why do I work in the accounts department?” Irene said sulking. “well you were the one who studied accounting in school , not any of our faults". replied Tj.

After her phone conversation,  Tj readily hopped off the bed racing to the closet and picking out her outfit for tomorrow. Every outfit already coordinate, since the it was winter, she picked out the black turtle neck with the ash-coloured blazer, and thick pants pairing it off with some black toe boots. With that all settled she got ready for bed  anticipating what tomorrow would look like.

It's morning and Tj is ready for the meeting,  she's practicing her greetings in hangul at the mirror.“Annyeonghaseyo,” Tj said to her reflection, smiling widely. “Bom-nal-geum-bul-rah-yeo-yo.”

She tried to sound as natural as possible, but she still felt a bit self-conscious. She hoped she wouldn’t make a fool of herself when she met with HYUN-TECH today

She took a deep breath and straightened her shoulders. “You can do this,” she said to herself. “Just be yourself and be respectful.”Tj took one last look around her room to make sure she had everything she needed. She had her laptop, her phone, and her notes. She took a deep breath and headed out the door, determined to make a good impression on Hyun Byung-ho's staff.

She caught the elevator down to the lobby and headed out into the busy Seoul streets. The city was a blur of people and noise, but Tj felt strangely at home. She felt like she was exactly where she was meant to be. She steps unto the bus heading for Incheon , Seoul’s business district.

As the bus pulled away from the curb, Tj looked out the window at the passing cityscape. The buildings were tall and imposing, but there was something about them that felt welcoming, like they were waiting to embrace her.

She turned her attention to the streets below, watching the people hustle and bustle, going about their day. There was something so alive about this city, so vibrant and full of energy. She felt like she could be anything she wanted to be here, like she could make her dreams come true.

OMG!   she’s starting to sound obsessed with this country , her soul just feels settled in Seoul.

When she gets to HYUN-TECH . she  spots her boss  just getting there, she greets him and they head into the building. “Good morning, Tj!” Mr. Bouche said, giving her a friendly smile. “I’m glad you could make it. Are you ready for the day ahead?”

Tj nodded, trying to look confident and professional. “Absolutely,” she said. “I’m excited to learn more about the company and meet the staff.”

Mr. Bouche led her into the building and through the lobby, greeting the receptionist with a wave.

They headed to the elevators and rode up to the 10th floor. On getting to the CEO's floor, they meet  

Byung-ho  and tall,  assistants waiting for them. “ Welcome to HYUN-TECH, Mr Bouche, and company , let’s head into the conference room . I hope you had no problems getting here. “Said Byung-ho in perfect English. Tj moved along with the crowd but was honestly stunned at the handsome daddy, Damn! He was gorgeous, tall and he had a striking handsomeness about him and he was definitely too young to have a son her age. She had seen his profile through the screen and knew he was hot but the videos did him no justice.  

The meeting began and she channelled all of her attention to making notes , she wasn’t the only one distracted though. Byung-ho was finding it extremely hard to pay attention to the meeting and was glad that his team was taking control  because he was too focused on Tj  she was thick In  all the right places and her skin like caramel. The sun reflected right on it drawing attention to her flawless shine.  

When he tuned back into the meeting , he met the amused gaze of his assistant, Daniel, who had caught him staring at Tj. He knew he would be hounded by questions soon, after the meeting was over.

“That will be all for now , we meet back on Monday for the final signing “ Mr Bouche relayed at the close of the meeting and everyone began to file out till just Byung-ho,  his assistant Daniel and Tj was left. “ Is there a problem, miss Tj?” asked Byung-ho.  “No there isn’t one , I just wanted to thank you for the tour you arranged yesterday.  You honestly didn’t need to do any of that I was the one who embarrassed myself in the last meeting “ Tj replied.  “ It was a pleasure,  and I just thought of welcoming you to Korea since you love the culture so much. Well it was a pleasure meeting you miss Tj “ Byungho replied while stretching out his hand for a handshake, which was honestly unnecessary but he had to feel her skin to know if it was. The moment their hands met, Tj and

Byung-ho both felt the jolt. It almost felt like electricity ran through them. Embarrassed, Tj retracted her hands, gave a small bow like she had seen in dramas and left hurriedly. She'd admitted to herself that the chairman of HYUNTECH was indeed good-looking but what happened just now was still a bit weird to her.

“geurom, urineun geu yeppeun sonyoe daehaesoyaegihaebolkkayo?” Daniel asked Byung-ho

(meaning- “ so are we going to talk about the pretty girl? ).  

Byung-ho sighs before replying “jinjja yaegihago sipjjianayo” (I really don’t want to talk about it).

“Wae? Geurae motjjin yosongeul jongyonghaneun goseunjalmotttwen gosi aniya”( why don’t you? There is nothing wrong in admiring a gorgeous lady).        

“naneun geunyang ireman jipjjunghal kkoya aratjji”( I am going to just concentrate on work okay?).  

Byung-ho answered with a sigh, shrugging Daniel moved to his desk and the work day continued. Byung-ho obviously wasn’t celibate throughout the years after having Dae-Hyun, but no woman had turned him on his head as much as this one and they hadn’t even had a conversation yet. Well , maybe after the business with her company was finished he would ask her to dinner and hopeful he could explore this attraction and see where it goes.
