Ch110: Uncertainty

A week after the incident…

Rex woke up feeling lonely and cold, his mood was sourer than rotten eggs left in the refrigerator for weeks and nothing on the television, not even the daily newspaper can cheer him up.

As usual, he gets ready for work and Taylor serves him a light breakfast of bread and coffee or a bowl of noodles, which he could not touch. Taylor noticed the slowness and distant look in her boss’s eyes, but was unsure how to present her question of concern.

At some point she made little noises to grab his attention and saying a little ‘anything else sir?’ hoping for a command, but Taylor got nothing until…

“Can you stop with the movements?” Rex finally spoke out after minutes of deafening silence.

“Sir?” Taylor paused from going to the shelves above the kitchen sink.

“The constant movements is giving me a migraine, can you please walk slowly and not constantly shuffling about.” He grumbled lowly. “And- stop the clanking noise.” He said irritably.
