Chapter 48

Nico’s POV

“Nico, you came home late. I said you must go home at exactly six o’clock. You made us worried.”

Napatingin ako sa wall clock at alas siete na pala ng gabi.

“I’m sorry, my bad. I lost track of time.”

Now, what do I do? I can’t even express the emotions I’m feeling right now. I can’t even cry despite the heavy feeling I have in my chest. I feel like I’m on the verge of tears but I can’t cry. It won’t come out.

“I’m going to my room.”

“I’ll call you when it’s dinner,” saad ni kuya pero umiling ako.

“Don’t wake me up kuya. I’m going to sleep.”

“Huh? Are you serious?”

I feel so weak. My brain can’t process what happened a while ago in the garden. It was so fast. Ni hindi ko pa nga magawang paniwalaan na nangyari nga iyon. Hindi ko magawang paniwalaan ang mga sinabi ni Leana.

I was still in the stage of denial I guess.

Pagpasok ko sa kwarto ay sumalampak ako ng higa sa kama at agad na tinawagan si Leana.
