Chapter Eighty-seven

Aden's POV

Cassel told me while I was down that Kierra called Menessa's phone number severally but he could not pick it up as he said he had no idea what he was going to tell her and he could further cause confusion.

I went through Menessa's phone, it was a good thing that one did not have to input a password to access it like the way most people would do today.

I checked for the two numbers I was interested in, one was Kierra's and the second was Madam Charity's. In an earlier message Menessa sent I discovered she had intended to meet with Kierra but the next message which looked scheduled showed Menessa would not be able to come and had instructed Kierra to meet Madam Charity.

It was scheduled because the time it showed that Kierra was to receive this message was hours after Menessa was shot dead.

So Menessa knew she wasn't going to make it. Why would she give up on living? She should have hinted to me she was in trouble.
