“Stop calling.” Turning, she looks towards the window where Lucifer is standing.

Her anger rises.

“He is gone. Go back to your life without him, Anais.”

“You jealous pig!” Screaming, she throws the vase at him, his laugh loud as he steps closer to her, her body retreating slightly.

“Tell me, Anais, what did he have that would make me jealous?” He moves closer as she backs up more.

“Me! He had me, and you hate that. You hate that he had something you can’t have!” Her words are loud as she glares at him.

The laugh from his throat shocks her as it rockets around the room, and he leans over her.
