CHAPTER 5

Luna’s POV:

Damned, my head hurts.

As I opened my eyes I saw Asher looking at me frowning.

“What? What happened?”- I asked and raised my eyebrows.

“I'm supposed to ask you that Luna.”- He replied.

“Why?”- I asked back.

“Don’t you remember anything?”- He asked.

I frowned at him.

“I saw you in the middle of the forest lying and unconscious hours ago Luna. So tell me what happened?”- He asked again.

I was shocked. Damn what happened to me? I closed my eyes and tried to remember everything.

I was at my favorite place last night then the vampire on a masked showed up. Then he opened a small piece of clothing and I saw a familiar plant, it’s an Ixora.

“That idiot.”- I said furiously.

“Who? Did you remember it already?”- He asked.

I looked at Asher, I could feel his concern towards me.

I smiled at him.

“Don’t think about it too much Asher, you should go. I have to clean up, I feel terrible.”- I said.

“Alright, I won’t force you to tell everything but we will talk later.”- He said and left.

My face turned serious this time.

I’m not afraid, why would I.

What do you want from me?

I went to the bathroom and plan to take a shower.

I’m still thinking about what happened to me before Asher found me in the forest. I am sure there is something that happened. I must find it out.

After I removed my clothes I noticed something inside my pocket, it’s paper.

“See you there again Luna.”- L.

That was written on that piece of paper.

So after what he did to me still he has the nerve to meet me?

You fooled me once, and it will never happen again, you idiot. I thought to myself and crumpled the paper.

After I took a shower. I dressed up.

I’ll go to the training ground today.

As I went downstairs, I saw my parents looking at me. It seems that they’re waiting for me.

“You’re awake.”- Dad said.

“Please grab some breakfast Luna.”- My mom said, I could saw her concern, I know she’s eager to know what happened to me last night. But she limits herself from asking.

I nodded and took my seat.

“You better be careful Luna.”- Dad speaks.

“Don’t easily trust someone you just met or you’ll be in trouble again.”- He added.

Right, I shouldn’t trust him.

I looked at the food on the table, damn I feel that I didn’t eat for a year. I never felt these cravings and hunger before.

“You’re asleep for a day, that’s why I told Marcus to cook a lot. It’s all yours Luna.”- Mom said and smiled at me.

I smiled back.

“You will be guarded by Marcus from now on.”- Dad said.

“Oh c’mon Dad, that’s nonsense.”- I said, I’m a bit annoyed now.

“Luna it’s for your own sake. We must be careful. We don’t have any idea what will happen next.”- Mom said in fear.

“I can protect myself, mom, dad have you forgotten that I’m not any ordinary immortal?”- I said trying to defend myself from this nonsense thing.

“Oh, really Luna? You can protect yourself? Then what happened to you last night? What kind of protection did you use? Do you even know that you might be killed last night? We didn’t even notice that you’re missing until this morning!”- Dad exclaimed.

“It’s just a mistake Dad, I was unattended.”- I said.

“Then we won’t let you do the same mistake twice.”- He said.

“But I don’t want Marcus tailing me, I want some privacy Dad.”- I said, I’m calm this time.

“I can talk to Asher to keep an eye on me.”- I added.

“Alright Luna, but if this happened again, then you can’t stop us from protecting you.”- Dad said.

I nodded at them and finished my food.

After I ate I went directly to the training ground and expecting Asher there but his presence is nowhere to be found.

Maybe I’ll talk to him later when I see him and have my training first.

I enter the first stage of the training ground, I still remember the last time I was here. I let those arrows hit me, but this time won’t let it happen again.

I want to discover more of my abilities.

I managed to focus on it as it is approaching me, and before it hit me it turned into ashes.

I smiled.

I proceed to the next stage where these knives are my opponent.

I am trying to focus on it like what I did with the first stage but it nearly hits me if I didn’t use my strength to jump off and avoid it. That was close. So it did not work with knives or any silver weapons, but I could use my ability to stop it from moving as I did before.

This time I proceeded to the hardest part of this training. The invisible enemies that will attack me, I want to try something for this training.

After I hit the start button, I used all my strength to focus. I closed my eyes for a second, and when I opened it I could see the daggers and knives approaching me.

I smiled, this is what I wanted to happen. I finally opened my sixth sense, and that’s to see the invisible.

With the ability I just discovered, I easily finished the third stage. Maybe I should inform dad to add another training stage or else this will not be a training ground for me. It will be boring.

After I walked out of the third training stage, I saw an immortal standing there.

I don’t know him. I could feel a pure-blood werewolf in him.

“What do you want?”- I asked him.

He smiled at me.

“I want to visit you. I saw your training, you’re an impossible immortal.”- He said sounds amazed.

“Thanks but no thanks, I don’t want to hear your compliments. What do you want from me? Don’t waste my time.”- I said seriously.

“Let’s say we are destined to be mated.”-He said and smiled.

“Destined to be mated my ass. You’re talking nonsense. You better leave before I lose my temper.”- I said as I’m a bit irritated right now.

“You’ll be mine soon Luna.”- He said grinning.

“Dream on, please leave.”- I said in my warning tone.

This psycho is getting on my nerves. One wrong move, you’ll see who you are talking to.

He started to walk towards me. I didn’t move and waiting for his next move but he stopped.

“I know I am pissing you off but you should get used to my presence starting today because we will be cherishing every moment of our lives once we’re mated my Luna.”- He said wearing his grinning face.

It sent me shivers not in fear but disbelief, he’s too full of himself.

“Are you a psycho or what?”- I asked him showing him that I’m already annoyed.

“Chill my Luna, I’ll be off for now. But we will see each other soon, don’t miss me okay?”- He said and threw a flying kiss before he left.

Disgusting.

“Luna!”- it’s Asher.

“Woah what’s that kind of look? It seems that you’re gonna eat someone.”- He added.

“Stop it, Asher. I just met some psycho a while ago.”- I said out of frustration.

“Well, you must be careful Luna. Don’t trust anyone alright?”- He said.

“Even you?”- I asked him.

“Yeah even me.”- He said.

“Damn dude, I was just kidding.”- I said and laugh.

“Well, I am not Luna. You better be careful or you might lose your life in an instant without us knowing.”- He said seriously.

I stopped laughing.

“Don’t stress yourself too much Asher.”- I said and gave him a smile as an assurance.

“Anyway, Dad told me that you should keep an eye on me or else Marcus will do it. I would rather prefer you as my guard over him.”- I said sounds pissed.

“Well tell Uncle Santiago that I won’t be able to guard you 24 hours since I have other things to do.”- He said and smirked at me.

“Well it’s fine with me, we are always together after all just don’t tell dad about it. I don’t need a guard though, however, Dad keeps on insisting on it.”- I said and smiled.

I don’t want Asher to have a responsibility because of me. I also want some privacy in my life after all.

“Are you done with your training?”- He asked me.

“Yes why?”- I replied.

“Perfect! Let’s have dinner in the food house, I’m hungry.”- He said and laugh.

“Yeah sure.”- I said and smiled at him.

I wonder if there’s no Asher existing, my life would be boring as hell.

Third Person’s POV:

I patiently wait for her to come.

I know she will not be happy to see me after what I did to her, but of course, I want to at least say sorry before I leave for a while.

*Flashback*

“You better leave.”- Mom said.

“But I don’t want to.”- I replied.

“You are not supposed to bring her here tonight but you did!”- She exclaimed.

“I am afraid that you would do something unplanned that might surprise me, us in the future. I want to avoid unnecessary things if I could.”- She added.

“So what do you want me to do?”- I asked her.

“Go to your Aunt Karie and stay there for a while. I’ll tell you when you should go back here.”- She said.

“What the hell mom!?”- I exclaimed out of frustration.

“You better listen to me or you might ruin everything we planned.”- She said and left me.

*End of Flashback*

“Why did you do that?”- it’s Luna.

I didn’t notice that she was here already.

“Luna.”- I said. I didn’t know how to start this conversation without her getting mad at me.

“You idiot. I didn’t know that you have the guts to show your face to me. What do you want from me? Where did you take me? What happened to me before Asher found me in the middle of that freaking forest?”- She asked. I could feel her anger towards me.

“Luna.”- I said. I’m of words.

“ANSWER ME!”- She burst out, she’s trembling in anger.

“I don’t know where to start but I couldn’t answer all of your questions right now.”- I said.

She raised her eyebrow.

“Then what’s the reason for meeting me here? Aren’t you aware that I could kill you and leaves no traces at all?”- She said and smirked.

I sighed.

“I just want to say sorry Luna about the other night, and I want to say goodbye for now.”- I said and bowed my head for her to accept my apologies.

“You’re not forgiven unless you explain to me everything, and you better take off that mask of yours.”- She said seriously.

“Once I came back I’ll tell you the answers to your questions.”- I said.

“Take care of yourself Luna.”- I added and left her.
