Catherine pov.

I woke up the next morning with a smile on my face. "Today, I will have to use my blood and save Lux," I thought. If I was put inside this body for a reason, then the blood should also change to mine.

I stood up and walked close to the window, looking out and seeing how every servant was busy working. The sun was shining brightly, and the birds were chirping.

I walked into the bathroom and looked in the mirror, washing my face. This was my life, the life chosen by the goddess. I thought about how happy my father must have been to hear about my death; he had never liked me, so I don't think my death must have been painful in any way.

As I walked out of the room, I started heading towards Lux's room, but just as I walked past Phillips' room, I stopped. I walked closer to it and opened it, seeing that it was empty. I know I must have hurt him badly, but he truly deserved it.
