Jayden smiled as Alpha Dane’s face darkened. Before Jayden could even return the greeting to me, Alpha Dane was there beside me with his hand at the small of my back. Jayden clenched his teeth.

Jayden gave a tight nod to Dane and said, “I had to come. Dave was pretty enthusiastic about the play.” I pursed my lips in a tight smile because Dave was actually not interested and never gave those vibes. “Besides, you invited me. How could I deny you?” he added, peeking at Dane.

Dane took my free hand in his and kissed it. “Did I say you look beautiful?”

A blush crept in my cheeks. Did he just ignore the whole conversation between Jayden and me and declare his claim on me? When I shot him a glare, he just smirked at me. “What? You look beautiful, baby,” he shrugged. Then he nuzzled me inside the auditorium where the other parents were waiting. Jayden followed us, and I didn’t miss the scowl on his face. Even though Dane had bought his company at an obscene price, the two had a
