Violet POV

Upon Alpha Dane's question, the Elders exchanged glances. No one wanted to answer his question. The tension in the room was so thick, it could be cut with a knife. A shudder ran down my spine, and it took every effort to stifle my sob.

My eyes flitted to Emily, who had this excited look on her face which I wanted to smother. She directed her gaze towards her phone, where the name George Thorpe was flashing. I knew that convening the Elder Council was definitely a well-thought out plan of the father and daughter.

“What is your decision?” Alpha Dane roared when none of them replied.

One of them, Leith, said in a squeaky voice, “We will reconsider the decision, Alpha.”

I found it surprising how softly he spoke.

“No!” Alpha Dane shouted. “None of you will reconsider the decision!” His eyes went to each of them as if reading them, drilling holes in their souls. “Four out of seven Elders will see the face of dungeons!”
