That was Alpha Dane’s mother. My entire body shuddered as memories of her flashed across my mind. She had come to the lodge where Alpha Dane had put me up, threatening me she would get me killed if he didn’t leave me. I wrapped my hands around my body, trying to suppress it.

Alpha Dane narrowed his eyes at her before he took the phone from her. “Hello,” he said in a snappy voice.
