Chapter 25 The Chase

I stayed silent and sat on my high chair. I closed my eyes and looked through all the wolves through my Alpha aura, two lights were missing, it was Donovan and Jose. They had joined just last week and were in training, Gennady was supposed to show them the day-to-day patrol activities. They were not supposed to die. I had failed to protect them. I was the Alpha, how had I not foreseen it?

Well, I did foresee the bloody streets, didn’t I? So it’s my fault.

I opened my eyes with a jerk. A fire was running through my whole body and it only ended with one thing: blood. An eye for an eye. I was not going to let go of that. If they had indeed returned then they should realize who they are up against.

“Gennady, stay put, and tell me where it happened,” I asked.

“The north border,” he said without looking up. He was observing the little scar on his biceps.

“Don’t worry about that G, they didn’t get you, you’ll be alright,” I told him.

“Would I be?” Gennady finally looked up and said.
