Part 62 # Who's Rossie?

The drizzle on that night felt tense. Arren still couldn't shake the uncomfortable feeling due to her stab wound.

The wound on her arm was painful, but the injury in her heart hurt even more.

"What if Leon doesn't want me anymore?" The thunder of insecurity echoed in her chest.

Arren seemed to have forgotten her plans to escape from the mafia. For some reason, her husband's judgment had become necessary in her self-image.

Right now, Arren felt truly inferior and devoid of light.

"Sleep, Arren. I'll watch over you,"

Clark had been by her side since she received medical treatment that afternoon. And even into the early hours, he remained faithfully there.

Arren still hadn't heard any news about Leon. Was he all right?

"Go to your room, Clark. I'm fine," Arren said, turning away from him as she slept. Her heart was uneasy as she kept thinking about Leon.

Clark snorted, feeling gently dismissed by Arren. But there wasn't much he could do.

"Call me if you need a friend, okay?"

"Okay."
