Chapter 32.

Amelia’s POV

I was so scared seeing how Raymond stared at me like a prey he was ready to devour. I plastered myself against the wall, unable to keep the tremor out of my voice as I pleaded with him, telling him that I wasn’t interested in the job anymore.

Chills ran down my spine as he stalked me, I kept my back to the wall and continued watching him like a cornered mouse as we faced off against each other.

“You got the job already, Amelia. All you have to do is give me what I want and I will do the same too,” he said.

I stared at him, unable to keep the disdain off my face and voice as I vehemently shook my head. I took a quick glance at the door, wondering if I would be able to make it to the door without him catching me. He must have guessed what I was doing as I tried to calculate the odds. He yelled at me angrily, telling me that I was making him feel like a bad person. He approached me but I moved away from the door and hurriedly moved back away from him. He did not stop coming
