Beth's Back

Alex's POV.

The time went slowly after the message, and I was so eager to see Beth. She is the key to all I need at the moment. My gaze got locked on the wall clock, and I was more than glad to see that it was 6:30pm. The cybercafé is only a few minutes away from my place, so I got dressed and exited the house.

My heart raced with each step I took closer to the café, while my eyes searched for anyone who might have sent me the text. I was about to grab the knob to the Café when the ding sound of my phone got my attention; it was another text.

“Sit at table 8,” it reads.

My eyes lurked around, it's certain that the sender of the text was close by and probably looking at me, but nobody seemed unusual.

I walked into the Café and sat at table 8 and waited for the person to show us, but nobody did until 8pm when I gave up.

“Is this person playing pranks on me?” I thought as I made my way out of the Café.
