Estelle POV

I flutter my eyes open, blinking repeatedly. I looked up at the white wall, and I wondered where I was. What happened? I can’t remember anything. I looked around me, and the beeping sound was the only one I could hear. Nobody was here, just me, and from the smell and white walls, I was in the hospital. The door opened, and Maven walked in.

“You are awake,” she said, walking to me. I noticed her face; it was swollen.

“Why are you crying?” I asked, my voice hoarse. She ignored me, helping me up.

“I will get the doctor,” she said, and she left. I sat down, trying to remember how I got here. I feel like I am missing something very important. A few minutes later, the door opened, and Maven walked in with a doctor. He came to me, smiling. Then he checked my body and did some other silly things, which I don’t know if there is a need for because I am perfectly fine.
