61. "Alpha Vincent Vs. Alpha Lycan"

Aaron’s POV

When I saw Vincent, the first thing I wanted to do was to kill him right away. My claws twitched with an insatiable itch to sink into his vulnerable flesh, rending his limbs into minuscule fragments. Yet, as I beheld him, kneeling upon the ground, his countenance etched with the realization that his own mate had betrayed him, a perverse satisfaction washed over me.

Olive had been right all along. Merely extinguishing his life would not suffice. We needed to subject him to the same anguish and abandonment he had inflicted upon others. And now, in this very moment, that retribution was unfolding before our eyes.

"H-Helen. This cannot be true, can it? You would never betray me," Vincent pleaded, his voice trembling with desperation, as Helen, his once-beloved mate, stood resolutely by my side.

Helen, her hands quivering with trepidation, summoned the strength to confront him with the bitter truth. "No, Vincent. Lycan Aaron spoke the truth. I did betray you."
