Chapter Seventy: We Want The Luna.

EMILY'S POV

Murmurs spread across the whole room immediately. I suddenly felt weak inside. The laborers had never revolted before. Not because of fear but because they were treated quite well by Lucien indeed.

They were what he used to show the people that he was a king, kind to all. The laborers have become the yardstick for measuring the goodness of Alpha Lucien.

If they revolted it meant they were saying that Lucien instilled fear in them to speak up about his hypocrisy but now he is absent they have found their voice to speak.

It was ridiculous but for some reason, people took it all too seriously in this kingdom.

“Take me there. Let me see the revolters.”

I left where I stood, approaching the wolf guard. Trying to hide my frightened spirit.

“My Luna, the matter is not for you to act on at the moment. We have to check the status quo and inform you first.”. The wolf chief stopped me with his words.
