Chapter Thirty-four: The Journey Begins.

TRISTAN'S POV

The guards wheeled the cart out of the city right into the forest, my body shaking as they roughly hit rocks on their way. It hurt a lot but I dared not make a sound.

Only the king and I knew about what was happening. If they were to know I was an ally they would try to kill me. I could not fight them because of my many wounds.

The cart stopped moving and I felt them bend it. My body rolled haphazardly down into the hole. They did not cover me with dirt or anything but left me wrapped in bloody wrappers they used on me from the torture house and walked Away.

I listened to their footsteps until I was certain it had disappeared completely before I finally twitched. My body leaned to the side immediately.

I growled, a reed had pierced my side when they were throwing me into the hole.
