Kelan's POV

"Aliyah," I called softly as I sat cross-legged on the couch, feeding my eyes by staring at the pictures of her family on the wall. In one of the pictures, she was sitting comfortably on her dad's shoulder smiling gracefully.

"Yes," she emerged from the kitchen holding the class of water I had requested the moment we got into the house.

"Thank you," I said, as I collected the glass and emptied it in one gulp.

"Do you need another glass?" she asked, with concern written all over her face.

"No. I'm fine," I smiled.

"You called me, right?"

"Yeah," I nodded. "I was going to ask how old you were in that picture," I pointed at the picture I was referring to.

"I was three," she chuckled. "It was my first day at school. Little Aliyah," she chuckled again.

"Then, you looked so cute and innocent... Of course you also look so cute and innocent now," I added quickly as I knew some soft blows could descend on me.

"Yeah, I do," she glanced at the picture.
